deswal/sandbox

[ studio ]

A small lab. One person. For now.

Deswal Sandbox is a one-person software studio in Bengaluru. I build apps, tools, and AI-powered platforms for premium consumers — drawn from problems I and the people around me actually have.

[ where the work happens ]

Beliefs

Premium-built software should be the default, not the exception.

Honesty about state — paused experiments labelled paused — is more premium than performed activity.

A small studio that does many things well beats a large one that does one thing aggressively.

Practice

Every experiment runs through the same six phases: notice, sketch, sandbox, ship, live, decide.

I write about the work as much as I do the work. The Notebook is half of the studio.

Compensation is transparent. Roles are senior. The team is named, never anonymous.

Output

Apps, tools, AI platforms, ops software, embedded experiments — anything I can prototype in a week and live with for two.

A handful of things ship per year. Most things sketch and die. The page tells you which is which.

I keep what I make running well, and retire it honestly when its time is up.
